Travel has always been a passion of mine, so turning this into reality was a dream come true. I not only got to explore the world with some of my favorite people, but also got to dive into so many different environments filled with unique cultures. Throughout my time abroad, I learned so much about myself and expanded my vision for how I see the world. I’m taking away so many unforgettable memories, and I’ll be forever grateful for this adventure of a lifetime.

Studying abroad in Florence was an incredible journey that combined cultural immersion with the camaraderie of my brothers. From wandering through the historic streets and marveling at iconic landmarks to savoring authentic Italian cuisine together, every moment was a blend of discovery and delight. Each day brought a new adventure, whether it was exploring hidden gems in the city or simply enjoying the vibrant local life. These shared experiences not only deepened our friendships but also created memories that will last a lifetime. Florence truly offered us an unforgettable chapter in our lives.

Going abroad has been one of the most life-changing experiences of my life. There’s something special about traveling and living with my brothers—it’s made the whole journey even more memorable. So far, Malta has been my favorite place; its beauty and charm are just unforgettable. I’m excited to explore as many places as I can before heading back home, and I know these adventures will stay with me forever.

There are so many core memories I was blessed to make on this study abroad trip, including watching the Eiffel Tower sparkle for the first time, seeing Pope Francis in the Vatican, watching the fireworks over Florence, kayaking around the Croatian Islands, having high tea and a three-tier tray in Oxford, England, watching the sunset over Prague with my sister, and the list could go on forever! One of my favorite memories would be the first weekend trip I went on to a small beach town on the northern coast of France: Etretat. Where we spent three hours at a local restaurant, making friends with the owners, staying well past closing time, sharing laughs and lots of pasta.

A month into our time in Florence, I got together 15 people, many of them brothers in DSP who were also in Florence, to come eat at my apartment. We dedicated the time to thinking about and celebrating what we had done over the first month and documenting it to share with the people who made our time abroad possible. It was a great night with lots of laughs and stories that made me truly grateful for the community I’ve built through DSP.
